Verification Service for Letter of Guarantee or Standby Letter of Credit Service

Description:

For beneficiaries holding a letter of guarantee or standby letter of credit issued by our bank in the form of a letter, our bank can provide verification service.

Application:

  1. Applications via Swift messages:
    • The beneficiary bank sends a SWIFT message to our bank via SWIFT code: BKCHTRISXXX;
    • The message should include the elements of the letter of guarantee/standby letter of credit ,the reference number, issuing institution, amount, number of pages, document number (if any), etc.
    • Note: Please provide as much information as possible to help verify the authenticity.
  2. Personal Applications:
    • The beneficiary appoints an authorized person to bring the original letter of guarantee/standby letter of credit, as well as a valid identity document and authorization letter of its company, and submit a verification application through our counter.

Notification method of verification results:

  • For the verification application sent by SWIFT message:
    • Our bank will reply in the form of SWIFT message within 5 working days;
  • For the verification application submitted by the beneficiary through the counter:
    • Our bank will reply the result in the form of a letter signed by the authorized signatory, and deliver it to the beneficiary by submitting it to the authorized person at the counter or by registered mail/express mail;
    • Our bank will not send a letter that is not signed by the authorized signatory through the personal email of the employee, nor will it verify the authenticity of the letter of guarantee/ standby letter of credit verbally.
